Sea Freight Manager

GTS is a leading freight forwarding and logistics company providing comprehensive sea, air, land transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, and supply chain solutions across global markets. We are seeking an experienced Sea Freight Manager to oversee and expand our ocean freight operations.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sea Freight Manager will be responsible for managing all import and export ocean freight activities, maintaining carrier relationships, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and operational expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Negotiate rates and service agreements with shipping lines and overseas agents.

• Manage daily sea freight import and export operations

• Oversee booking, documentation, and shipment execution.

• Monitor profitability and operational performance.

• Lead and mentor the sea freight operations team.

• Resolve shipment-related challenges and customer escalations.

• Develop new business opportunities within the ocean freight sector.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of shipping lines, freight rates, and international trade.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding.

• Experience managing operational teams.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.
